BIRTHDAY!
Today is my little girl's birthday! Nine years ago today, we finally got to meet little Annie. She has been a delight, surprising us every day with her sense of humor and curiosity. Mostly, though, Annie is an artist. She has claimed that term as her self-definition for years, so I was thrilled Monday night when Stampin' Up! announced at its New Catalog Premiere that the stamp set we would all go home with was the "Work of Art" set. It is SO perfect! I can't show you the whole set yet (SOON!), but I can show you the card I made for Annie's birthday:
The background was stamped in Bermuda Bay (Annie's favorite color) three times without re-inking. The sentiment is from the new set, but of course the little face is from the "Sweetie Pie" photopolymer. I reproduced the background on a scrap of Whisper White and then punched it out using the Fancy Flower punch to go behind the little face.
