She has been a supply pastor (she's retired, and just fills in when needed) at a church for about 6 months now as they have been looking to hire a full-time pastor. She has grown attached to them, and this Sunday is her last day. It's bitter-sweet. She would like to stop working, but she will miss everyone. She made these special Valentine gifts for the Children's Sermon. Lucky kiddos.
She and I can make super-cute gifts like this because we subscribe to Paper Pumpkin. Paper Pumpkin is a fabulous surprise that arrives at your door every month. Each month, a fully designed project kit arrives in a delightful box filled with stamps, ink and paper--everything cut and ready to go so you can skip to the fun. Just think of it as creativity in a box.
This month's kit is not God-related, but she tailored the kit to her needs.
My daughter made some from the kit for my stamp club that meets tomorrow. They will be so happy!
My son is using a stamp from the kit, along with the banners, to make Valentines for every child in his first-grade class.
So many projects came out of one little kit! And, what's great about it is you don't need a lot of supplies to use it. You don't need a warehouse of materials. Everything you need is in the kit. All you need is adhesive and scissors (and this month's kit had glue-dots!).
Each monthly kit is $19.95, and that includes tax and shipping. But, this is a great time to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin because Stampin' Up! has reduced the price for the 3-month prepaid subscription from $59.85 to $54.85. That price-point will earn you a free Sale-a-Bration item (because remember how you get a free item with every $50 you spend?!).
Plus, anyone who subscribes to Paper Pumpkin through me during Sale-a-Bration will get a free gift in the mail. Three months of crafting, a free SAB item and a special gift?! Whoo Hoo!
